Howdy folks,
As the icons Desus and Mero would say, “the brand is strong.” Big Laugh Comedy is moving beyond Austin and officially planting roots down in San Antonio, too. Because we’ve built a super cool community in Austin, it only made sense to bring all of the killer comedians gracing our stages to our sister city.
Since November of 2020, we’ve thrown shows in town, and in February we hooked up with The Rock Box to bring shows like Eddie Griffin, Adam Ray, Craig Conant, Shuli Egar, Cam Betrand, and most recently Mark Normand.
Coming soon to the AT&T Center will be a whole slew of rad comedy shows via the Courtyard and the Terrace. From up and coming acts to some of the biggest in the comedy game, San Antonio is about to have some hilarious nights the Alamo City won’t forget.
(Spoiler alert: there will be plenty of exclusive shows not happening in Austin that will be San Antonio only.)
Here’s our official statement on the new deal below:
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Big Laugh Comedy is proud to announce a recent partnership to bring the laughs to the AT&T Center in collaboration with the San Antonio Spurs. The two brands are looking to extend Big Laugh's success in Austin and keep San Antonio in stitches.
The AT&T Center features both The Courtyard and the Terrace, with each venue offering comedy patrons both spaces for the headliners and intimate acts. The Terrace comfortably can seat up to 330 guests, while The Courtyard can host some of the biggest acts in comedy with its capacity for almost 2,000.
Some of the acts Big Laugh Comedy's have booked for the summer include the legendary Andrew Dice Clay and Jim Breuer, along with Jamie Kennedy and Brendan Schaub, who recently had a sold-out string of shows in Austin at the Vulcan Gas Company.
These acts are only some of the few booked for what will be the biggest summer San Antonio has ever seen in comedy.
